Here's how it works: Send us 5 of your CDs We keep one file copy we use to create your sound clips, to scan your graphics and to give us other information contained inside it. We will create a sales webpage containing a shopping cart that will present your product information and pricing on CDSTAR. The page will contain your CD Cover graphic, info on your CD, a brief bio about you (if one is supplied by you), your regular artist website URL, and up to 3 soundclips (depending on length) from your CD. NOTE: There is a one-time charge of $50. Canadian ($55. for American Artists), for the setup and creation. (Currency converter on our Shipping page) When you release your next and each subsequent CD a lesser charge of $35. per additional CD to be posted on the site. Mail us your CERTIFIED cheque, or MONEY ORDER for $50. $CDN, in with the 5 CDs, PACK WELL! (pack in a tiny cardboard box available at your Post Office).. We'll be pleased to list your CD up for sale. SORRY WE CAN'T ACCEPT HOME-BURNED CDS - they just don't play in every machine so because of potential problems of having to return them, we cannot accept home-burns. PACKING NOTE: If you pack poorly and CDs arrive smashed we cannot be responsible... It's best to have a barcode. If your CD doesn't already have a barcode we can still sell your CD. There is no difficulty... GENRES: If you don't see a page heading matching your own musical flavour we may create one for you if demand calls for it. When your CD sells you'll receive an email notification. When your sales reach $26. we will quickly send you your cheque for the proceeds. SELLING YOUR CD ON CDSTAR: Some large popular record stores we know keep 55% of your sale! Does your CD retail for $20? (Canadian dollars). CDSTAR keeps only $6. you get $14. that's only 30%. GET MORE EXPOSURE FOR YOURSELF: Tell your musician friends about it!. If your friend signs up at CDSTAR you and your CD will appear in the Editor's Choice Section for your genre for one month.
