It is with sadness that we must announce that after much thought, we have decided to close CD-Star Music....
This is partly connnected with the current trend where iTunes and other such companies retailing mp3s for about .80 cents (or even much less). After the retailer takes his cut, this nets a musician about $6. for an "album" of 10 tunes, when it costs a musician between $12. and $13. to record each CD. Indie musicians may never recoup their investment, since most only sell about 1000-2000. CDs, and now that a single tune can be downloaded, for less than half of what it is worth, we see Indie musicians paying too high of a price, and decided not to go that direction...



MUSICIANS: I'll be emailing each one of you to get your current mailing address, so we can return your CDs as soon as possible.
